DIRECTOR'S LETTER
"I watched it twice and I Love it" --Isaac de la Rocha Film, Video and Audio Engineer, CSULB

Hello,
First off, I would like to thank everyone who has taken the
time to see the film or bought the film. We tried to put out a good product for the fans to enjoy.
I would also like to thank every Artist for
sharing their lives and music with us.
Next, I would like to thank my crew.
If it wasn’t for the participation of every person that worked on this
film, the film would have turned out differently or not at all. I also would like to thank Barry, Cindy and
Edwin over at Image-Entertainment for taking a liking to the project.
I would also like to apologize for several key mistakes that
were done on the manufacturing of the DVD.
This is how the DVD should have been:
- The
photo gallery is dedicated to Steve Rivera, (Cartoon of O.T.W.) who
tragically lost his life on February 26th, 2002 to the cycle of
violence that plagues our communities. (He is the first person you see
when you go to the photo gallery.)
- The
opening title credit goes too quick.
It should read “In Loving Memory of George Montes”.
- Associate
Producer’s Jessica Martinez name was incorrectly misspelled on the link to
the crew bios.
- Every
single picture in the gallery was taken by Sal Rojas and should have been
credited to Sal Rojas; there should have been captions included with the pictures.
Pass The Mic! was a tremendously long journey, with several
twists along the way. The biggest one
being the lost of my brother, Executive Producer George Montes. I hope everybody that we came in contact
with gained a little understanding of our passion for hip-hop and music. Once again, thanks.
Sincerely,
Richard Montes
